Nyakoe residents turned up in large numbers to receive bursary forms at the ward office to utter disappointment. Distribution of the forms potential beneficiaries never happened at least for the better part of the day.
Area MCA Cosmas Oyagi and ward bursary chairman Peter Makori denied involvement in the exercise.
This prompted the residents demand immediate availability of the forms or the governor Simba Arati to come clear on the issue.
According to those interviewed the governor had announced through the media that the county residents pick up the forms from their respective ward offices on January 1 2024.
The residents complained of wasting their valuable time to chase for forms which were not forthcoming.
Oyagi appealed to the governor to clarify on the matter since he was unable to explain to the residents about the sudden turn of events.
The bursary chairman petitioned the governor to save them of the embarrassment by bringing the forms for distribution to the residents.
Residents Charles Abuga and Elizabeth Moraa expressed shock claiming they did not know whom to blame for the confusion.
End.
